Harold was a successful entrepreneur having opened, run, and sold several businesses along with making numerous real estate investments. Obit Molly Dean Price Hardman1933-2018

Through the veil I must go to be with Him forever more…

I reunited with my “Kenny Dear” on Dec. 14, 2018. I was born June 29, 1933, at home in Indian Canyon, Utah, to Arch Ervin Price and Emma LuDean Jensen. I was the third of eight children. At the tender age of sixteen I married Kenneth Neal Hardman on Sept. 10, 1949, and was later solemnized July 2, 1974, in the Ogden Utah Temple. Together we had seven children: Ken (Yonnie), Rex (Jeannetta), Mont (Tracy), Dave (Ann), Sherry (Gail), Lori (Jay), Jon (Connie); 37 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. “Not a throwaway in the bunch.”

Our home was the “go to” place. There was always an abundance of family, friends, food and love. I always loved my kitchen best. The aroma of fresh baked bread was in the air always as well as many other delicious meals I prepared.

I am leaving behind so many that I love dearly (claiming Connie as my own), sisters, brothers, cousins, friends, too many to list but dear to the end. “…for we will liken ourselves unto the wiseman, who built his house upon the rock…” (3 Nephi 14:24, Matt 7:24).

Special thanks to the team from Canyon Hospice who tenderly guided us through this special time. Namely Cherylynn, Sharron, and Misty.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2018, from 10:30 to 11 a.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates, 6500 S. Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah.

There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019, at the Tooele Utah North Stake Center, 580 N. 270 East, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., where family and friends may call to say good bye.

Condolences may be sent to the family at www.valleyviewfh.com

Robert Henry Colledge

Obit Robert Henry Colledge 1June 19, 1937 – Dec. 17, 2018

This is the story of Robert “Bob” Henry Colledge. Bob was a handsome, fun, loving man that was loved, cherished, and will be missed. Our “Papa,” “Potter” that we liked to call him, was an amazing father, husband/caregiver to our mom while she was alive and an avid sports fan like no other.

Obit Robert Henry Colledge 2Dad’s story starts June 10, 1937, the oldest child to W.H. “Bud” Colledge and Emily Louise Battison Colledge. Dad was born and raised in Tooele, Utah. Dad was a natural athlete since youth; he excelled in football, basketball, and baseball in high school. He was chosen to tryout with the Pittsburgh Pirates of the MLB when he was just a junior in high school. The Pittsburgh Pirates wanted him to come back for another tryout; however, things happened in Dad’s life which made it impossible for him to make it to the second tryout. There’s no doubt in our minds that if he would have been able to make it to that tryout his career would have been in baseball. Dad graduated from Tooele High School in 1955. After high school, Dad continued to play baseball for Tooele City League for several years and went on to win championships.

Dad married in January 1955 and had three children; Sandy, Randy, and Paul. They later divorced. Dad married our mother, Shirlene York, on Feb. 1, 1960, in Magna, Utah. They were married for 57 years.

Dad actively served his country in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1966, and spent part of his duty as a payroll specialist at the Headquarters Company in Germany.

Dad worked for the U.S. Postal Service, both before and after serving his country and achieved the position of Tooele Postmaster for several years before exploring other career opportunities. Throughout the remainder of his career, he held several management and leadership positions at Ralph Parsons, National Lead, Amax, and MagCorp, retiring in 2001 to spend more time with family and friends.

Dad was an active member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, and was the State Esquire from 1971-1972, and Exalted Ruler of the Tooele BPOE #1673 from 1974-1975. Over the years he contributed to many efforts, including Hoop Shoot, building Camp Wapiti, Hides for Veterans, Christmas charities, and making a Santa and reindeer set for Tooele City to be displayed at the park on Main and Vine. Dad later became a member of the Tooele Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #2031 as well.

Dad was very compassionate in always wanting to help others; he did a lot of charity work throughout his life from his time as the Tooele Postmaster, Exalted Ruler and continuing up to when he was in Willow Springs earlier this year by buying and giving the residents muffins or other small essentials that they needed.

Dad was an avid sports fan; he loved betting on and watching football, basketball, and baseball, especially the Chicago Bears, Utah Jazz, Mom’s Minnesota Vikings, and the Utah Utes. He loved spending time with family and friends, taking trips to Wendover and Idaho for lottery tickets.

Loved ones that cleared the path for dad, are Mom, his parents and sister Sandra. Loved ones that will miss him until they meet again are his daughters, Janice (Ron) Wegner, and Monica (Eric) Spangle; grandchildren, Derek (Annie) Hansen, Hillaree (Mike) Harrison, Chazz Gustin, and Jon (Cindy) Wegner; nine great-grandchildren and highly anticipated twins on the way; and siblings, Ken, and Kris.

And so the story goes on until we see our Papa/Potter again. We love you and miss you.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2018, at 1 p.m. at Tate Mortuary, 110 S. Main St. in Tooele, where viewings will be held Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. and Thursday at noon. Online condolences welcomed at www.tatemortuary.com.
