Obit Frank McCabe1959 – 2018

A life of adventure ended for Frankie November 8, 2018.

Complications from diabetes slowed him down in recent years and took away his joy in life. He leaves behind three children, six grandchildren, and four sisters. We are sure he has happily joined his parents in a much better place. Private family services will be held at a later time.

Miss you, Frankie, and we will love you forever and always. For those of us left behind, we’re grateful your suffering is over.

Obit Arlene Joy Fernley Nelson1930 ~ 2018

Arlene Joy Fernley Nelson, 87, of Tooele, Utah, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2018.

Arlene was born November 11, 1930, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Wright Dennison and Gladys Lawrence Fernley. The third of four children, she spent her young childhood in Bountiful, Utah. Her family moved several times while she was growing up, living in Montana, New Orleans, Idaho and Oregon. She graduated in 1948 from Roosevelt High School in Portland, Oregon. She attended BYU and graduated in 1952 with a teaching degree. She taught first grade and kindergarten for 31 years in Huntington Beach, California; Tewksbury, Massachusetts, and Portland, Oregon. It was her most cherished profession; she loved teaching her students and helping them reach their full potential. She often said she never worked a day in her life because she loved teaching so much.

Arlene’s pride and joy were her six children, 23 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. Arlene dedicated her life to her family and friends and was passionate about following the Spirit and serving those around her who needed a friend. She had a strong testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Of all her many accomplishments, Arlene will be remembered as a doting mother and grandmother, an exemplary teacher and a friend to all who knew her.

Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, brother Dean, granddaughters Heather, Rachel and Amber, and great granddaughter Bailey. She is survived by her children, Rick (Jill) Bigler, Blackfoot, Idaho; Jana Coelyn, Portland, Oregon; Debra Winchester, Nashua, New Hampshire; David (Patty) Bigler, Fresno, California; Mikkel (April) Nelson, Boise, Idaho; Jeanine (Doug) Richens, Tooele, Utah; and siblings, Alice Lorraine McCall, Mint Hill, North Carolina; and Carolyn (Dale) Felix, Washington, Utah.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 16, 2018, at 10 a.m. at the LDS church, 2032 Churchwood Dr., Tooele, Utah. Interment will immediately follow at the Bountiful City Cemetery. A viewing will be held prior to the funeral from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers or donations, the family suggests the best way to honor Arlene would be to spend a little extra time with the child or children you love, or to contribute your time or money to programs that help improve the lives of children.

Lucas John Bell

Obit Lucas John BellApril 21, 1988 – Nov. 20, 2018

Lucas was born in 1988 to Allison (Williams) and Steve Bell, in Grantsville, Utah. He was raised in Tooele County and lived there his entire life.

Lucas attended elementary school in Grantsville and Stansbury Park. Lucas was raised with help from his grandparents Betty Lou (Johnson) and Robert Williams. He would go every day after school to their family farm, and the Williams Family Video store in Grantsville, and help feed cows and pigs along with various other chores. His mom insisted he helped; he loved to go, but his grandpa and he would bicker about how to get the chores done. His grandpa always held a very special place in Lucas’ heart. They had a relationship as if he were his father.

Lucas started working at Chemical Lime until it closed in 2008. He then worked in Dugway for STC/Jacobs as a mechanical technician for nine years, making many friends at both jobs

Lucas attended junior high and high school in Grantsville. It was in high school where he met his soulmate Michelle (Raymond). The two started talking and skipping church classes together from that day on. They were inseparable and they were a package deal. After graduation in June 2006, the two married on July 20, 2006, in a small ceremony as he wished. They began their life in Grantsville together. After two years of marriage, they chose to honor their love with a child. Lucas was a proud man of his son, Lucas Colten Bell (10). Lucas would spend every day working and building his and Michelle’s dreams. Letting Michelle do all her weird projects, cussing a little but loving her for it. One day, Lucas called home from work and Michelle told him she had torn the banister down. He questioned everything she had an idea about, but always would support her in whatever it was she was doing. He wasn’t much of a partier, but because Michelle loved parties, he would join her begrudgingly with a smile and love for his wife. He HATED camping, but always had a weakness for his soulmate and best friend.

Lucas was always more comfortable at home with his son, where they would play video games, clean the house, play fetch with the dogs, spend too much money on toys, and play indoor soccer and basketball while breaking Michelle’s knickknacks. His life was his wife and son! If he wasn’t at work providing for them he was home spending time with them. There were a few times when Michelle caught Colten and Lucas playing a video game online while Lucas was at work! There was never a day that went by that Lucas didn’t go out of his way for his “loves.” Lucas insisted Michelle follow her dreams and go to beauty school. He supported her every single day and always praised her as to how good she is; always complimenting her on her growing business and talent. He did hate how he was always last on the list for a haircut, but as of late said he was growing his hair out to look just like his son. His beard was just a part of him, and everyone was always jealous!

Lucas is survived by his soul mate Michelle Bell and their son Colten Bell; parents Allison (Jim) Parker, Steve (Annette) Bell; siblings Tori (Dixon) and children; Jacy Bell and children; Remington (Alecia) Lawrence and children, Seth, Cambria, Ashtyn, and Nixxon; Hunter (Shannon) Hawkes; Cody Christensen; in-laws Marianne Raymond; Stephan A. (Kristen) Raymond, and their children Raleigh and Vinson; and many other in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and dear friends. And he would hate us to forget his dogs Max and Stella.

Lucas is preceded in death by his grandparents Robert W. and Betty Lou Williams, and father in-law Stephan L Raymond.

Please join us where we will love, laugh, and reminisce his life Sunday, Dec. 2, from 2:30-4:30 p.m. at the Coulter House event center, 175 Ut. Hwy. 138, Stansbury Park, Utah.

Obit Edith Gail BleazardEdith Gail Bleazard, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away Nov. 24, 2018. Gail was born Sept. 6, 1934, to Richard Frederick Schuenman and Edna Arvilla Edwards and was a loving, devoted daughter. She met the love of her life, George Albert Bleazard, and they were married Dec. 6, 1952. Among those who preceded her in death are her parents, her sweetheart George, and her siblings: Quincey (Ruth), Forrest (Pam), and her beloved sister Jean.

We will remember Gail for being a woman of faith and hard work, and for her love of the Savior Jesus Christ. As a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Gail served in many capacities with dedication and love. She and George served together in the Sharon, Vermont, mission as senior missionaries. Gail’s service to others and her quiet influence for good will continue to be felt for generations to come.

Gail was a perfectionist in everything she did. From quilting and sewing to her ability to create a meal fit for a king, she mastered it all. She always went beyond the mark with her talents and creativity and you could always count on her for a job beautifully done.

Gail’s greatest legacy, as she often stated herself, is her family. She was fiercely devoted to her four sons who adore her and revere her as the angel mother she was. Among Gail’s four sons, 16 grandchildren and (almost) 29 great grandchildren, there are 14 return missionaries, 14 Eagle Scouts, and four beautiful granddaughters who each lived lives of dedication and faith. Her sons, Steve (Robyn), Brett (Whitney), Scott (Debbie), and Jeff (Mauri) rejoice in the heavenly reunion that is hers as she is embraced by those who awaited her return.

It is with much love and appreciation that we give thanks to the many family members, friends and ward members, and the medical personnel and caregivers who valiantly served Gail in her more recent years.

Funeral services to be held Saturday, Dec. 1, at 11 a.m. in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Mesa Hills chapel, 1925 West 320 South, Cedar City, Utah. Interment is in Panaca, Nevada. Services will be conducted under the direction of Affordable Funeral Services. Online condolences can be sent to her memorial page at www.affordablefuneralservices.com.
