Brian W. Paget

1229 Obit PagetBrian Paget passed away in his home Dec. 26, 2016. He was 43 years old. Brian was born Oct. 12, 1973, at the Mountain Home Air Force Base Hospital. Shortly after his birth, Brian and his mother moved to Tooele and lived with her family while his father was serving overseas in the Air Force. When Brian’s father returned from Thailand, he was again assigned to Mountain Home. In November 1975, Brian’s family moved back to Tooele. Brian attended West Elementary and Tooele Junior High, and graduated from Tooele High School. Brian was a member of the LDS Church. He was active in the scouting program and earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Brian served an LDS mission in the Houston East Mission and for much of his mission, he served in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Brian’s family owned and operated the Fancy Fins pet store on Main Street for several years. Later, Brian worked as a security guard at a casino in Laughlin, Nevada. During that time, Brian lived with a close friend, Mike Bradshaw. Brian later began working at the the Salt Lake International Airport in the cash room and in his time there became good friends with the people he worked with. He enjoyed spending time with them away from work. Brian was known for experimenting with food recipes, especially with cheese. Many were of his own making. He posted many of them on Facebook and explained how good they were or were not. Brian is survived by his mother, Suzette Bradford (Bill) of Tooele; his father Michael Paget (Margie), also of Tooele; and his brother Russell Paget (Carla) of Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Brian and Russell were very close as brothers and friends. He is also survived by stepsisters Nadine Beyer (Jon) and Angela Jurkovski (Brent) and a stepbrother Seth Richins (Laney). Brian was preceded in death by his grandfather Thomas M. Irvine; grandmother Jane Irvine; grandfather Earl Paget and great-grandfather Joseph Paget. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017, at 11 a.m., in the Middle Canyon Ward building at 777 E. Skyline Drive. Interment will be in the Tooele City Cemetery. Friends are invited to meet with Brian’s family at the church one hour prior to the service.
