Isias 41: “Don’t be afraid, because I’m with you, don’t look scared, as I am your God, I give you strength, I will help you, I will sustain you with my caring hands.” Marjorie (Margy) Goretti Rojer-Sekula passed away Dec. 25, 2016, in Reno, Nevada. She was born in Aruba on June 27, 1963, to Angel Francisco Rojer and Maria Magdalena Rojer-Simileer. She was married to the love of her life, Jeffery James Sekula. She is survived by their children, Caroline Maria Sekula and Daniel Francisco Sekula. She was one of seven children, including Stanley (Jennifer) Rojer, Gwendeline (Hugo) Van Trikt, Jeannine (Donald) Bakhuis, Anthony (Joally) Rojer, Kenneth (Adeline) Rojer, Kathleen (Derwin) Rojer and Miloushka Forero. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, great-aunt, aunts, uncles, and in-laws. Marjorie was a teacher at Grantsville Elementary School for many years, extending her love for education onto the mass of students who have entered her classroom. She believed in instilling kindness, discipline and tolerance, along with a desire for academic achievement. While Marjorie has passed this mortal life, she leaves behind a truly inspiring legacy. She will always be remembered for her courage, perseverance, intense work ethic, beauty, witty sense of humor, intelligence and creativity, among many other attributes. This world got a little dimmer, having her contagious smile no longer present, for she was the light to so many people. However, her gracious and genuine heart will forever be present, for it stays with the many that love and cherish her.
