Margene married LeRoy Clark Imlay on April 29, 1948, in the Salt Lake Temple. She was a wonderful homemaker who was an excellent cook and seamstress. She loved her family and loved having her children and grandchildren around her. Margene strived to make everyone feel welcome and was concerned with everyone’s well-being.

She was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many positions, including Relief Society president, regional dance director, organist, and as an ordinance worker in the Salt Lake Temple. Margene loved music and started playing the piano when she was eight years old. She excelled as a pianist and accompanied many individuals and choirs, both for church and civic functions, throughout her life. She taught piano lessons for most of her life and loved hearing about how her former students were continuing to play the piano.

She loved dancing, and one of her favorite ways to spend an evening was dancing with the love of her life, Clark. Many people were influenced by her talents.

She loved horses and loved to go for rides with Clark whenever she could. She loved BYU sports and loved to travel to away BYU football games. As her health declined and she was unable to attend games, Margene rarely missed watching the games and loved to discuss the happenings of BYU sports. She also loved to watch the Utah Jazz.

Gayle Marie Drinville-Irvine was born on July 18, 1955, to Jack and Jeanie Drinville and passed away peacefully on Nov. 2, 2017. Her family and friends were by her side.

Gayle was born in Vallejo, California, but lived in Benicia, California, for the first six years of her life. In 1961 she moved to Tooele, Utah, with her parents and three sisters.

After graduating from Tooele High School, and upon completing Weber State College’s nursing program, she acquired her RN. Gayle worked at Primary Children’s Hospital for over 40 years making many friendships along the way. After a monumental time working with the hospital, Gayle retired in 2015 and moved to Torrey, Utah, a place she loved and had dreamed of living for many years.

Gayle had a scintillating light that would brighten anyone’s day, especially when she showed her humor. Anyone and everyone who knew Gayle loved her humorous outlook and perspective on life. She was always quick with a joke and had a glow of her own. Gayle was always adventurous and loved to explore, whether it was working a few summers at the Grand Tetons, horseback riding, driving her 1964 Red Ford Thunderbird in the 4th of July Parade in Tooele, running in marathons, biking, hiking, camping or road trips. She even skydived once! Kindness and generosity were also some of her strong points, not only for the patients she cared for, who were mainly children, but for her family and friends as well. Putting others’ needs before her own, she was abundant in her care of others.

Gayle’s affinity for music never held her back from dabbling in anything from reading and writing poetry to singing, playing the guitar and piano. She knew the right song, at the right moment, for the right occasion. With all those beautiful characteristics she possessed, it would eventually bring her to Ray Irvine, the love of her life. Together they would embark on many adventures, all with unconditional love for each other.

Gayle is survived by her son Alex Shank, her parents Jack and Jeanie Drinville, and sisters Debra Ann Ralston and Betsy Jean Bacon. Gayle was preceded in death by her sister Jacki, husband Ray Irvine, and the father to her son, Harry Patrick Shank.

Obit Patricia Elease Poe MostellerJanuary 15, 1931 – November 4, 2017

Pat has been reunited with her beloved husband Elmer on November 4, 2017. Pat was born January 15, 1931 to Melvon and Irma Jewel Poe in Alamogordo, New Mexico. She was the first child to bless this family, followed by two rowdy brothers, Jack (Vel) of Tucson, Arizona and Gerry of Elfrida, Arizona. Pat started early taking care of those she loved and her compassion was unsurpassed.

Pat married the love of her life, Elmer Louis Mosteller on May 6, 1946 in Bisbee Arizona.  Where they raised two rowdy boys of their own; Daniel (Glenda) of Stockton, Utah and David (Debbie) of Nephi, Utah.  She had many passions in life, raising her family, collecting rocks with her husband, bowling on many different leagues, playing bridge, the yearly hunting trips and her love of history.   She accomplished everything she tried; working many jobs in the community until in the mid 70’s she opened her own business in Bisbee, Arizona.  “Old Friends Ice Cream Parlor and Gift Shop” was a staple for many in town, where she sold her husband’s jewelry he created and many other rock specimens, while teaching her grandkids work ethics.   She ran that business successfully for twelve years until she decided that seeing the world was her new priority.  Pat loved to travel and although Elmer wasn’t much for it she never had a hard time finding someone to tag along. If you were to ask her where her favorite place was to visit you better have lots of time because there was not just one. Australia, New Zealand, Holland, China, Egypt, Bahamas’ and Hawaii were just a few. The highlight of a some being the “girl trips” but the most memorable trip was the one to Florida and the Bahamas’ for her 80’s birthday where she wrangled an alligator while holding a baby alligator. She was fearless.

Being a grandma was also a highlight of her life.  Her grandkids and great grandkids held a special place in her heart. After providing care of her ailing parents and husband she relocated to Tooele, Utah to be closer to her boys.  Her love for playing cards brought many new friends into her life and made her days delightful. Pat was one of those people that never met a stranger; if you knew her at all you would agree. She will be missed by many including, bridge partners, Westerners (historical society), neighbors, and her family. Pat lived life on her terms and died on her terms.  She leaves us with, “I’ve lived a good life but love and family are the most important”.

At a later date Pat will join her husband in Bisbee, Arizona.  A small social will be held at her home in Tooele, 192 South 200 West on November 11, 2017, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers please donate to one of your favorite charities.
