On Dec. 13, 2016, after a courageous battle with cancer, a shimmering star went back into the sky. Donna Dougherty Clowry was born July 3, 1961, in Tooele, Utah, to Cecil and Dolores Dougherty. She attended school in Tooele, graduating from Tooele High School in 1979. In 1985, she gave birth to her one and only child, a daughter, Brandee. Donna was an amazing human being. She was everyone’s best friend. She wasn’t just a rock, she was a wall. Her generosity was unmatched, her heart was huge and her spirt ran free. She loved spending time with her family and especially her grandkids. She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her daughter Brandee (Ryan) Mergenthal and grandchildren Conrad and Jane of West Jordan, Utah; her sisters, Michelle (Don) Pitt of Tooele, Utah, Kerry (Kenneth) Wilson of Tooele, Utah, and Jan Dougherty (Jef Stuart) of Truckee, California; nieces, nephews and thousands of friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Cecil Dougherty and Dolores Dougherty. A vigil will be held Friday, Dec. 16, 2016, from 6-8 p.m. at St. Marguerite Catholic Church in Tooele, Utah. Mass will be held Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Marguerite Catholic Church in Tooele, Utah.
