On Friday, Aug. 26, we were forced to say goodbye to our beloved Papa, Dad, husband, relative and dear friend to so many. Jimmy Stevenson, 47, is survived by his wife Orsenia “Jo” Lohman, daughter Chaplene “Chapa” (Alex) Lopez, his two beautiful grandkids who meant the world to him, and too many family members to list — each one so dear to his heart. He is deeply loved by all those who knew him. He was so full of life and fun-loving that to know him was to love him. He enjoyed many hobbies and activities — a few of his favorite included fishing, hunting, cooking, metal and woodworking, camping and boating. Above all else, he loved spending every second he could with his granddaughter and grandson who he affectionately called his “babies.” He lived his life for them and his entire family. He was an extraordinary man and his sudden loss has been devastating to us all. He will be sorely missed. We will be holding a celebration of life service Saturday, Sept. 10, at 3 p.m. at the Rush Valley Town Hall with a luncheon afterwards.
