Obit Lee C. RobertsOur beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away peacefully at The Gathering Place on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2016. He was born June 8, 1926, in Escatawpa, Mississippi to Kizzie Gertrude Bond and Joseph Allen Roberts. He married Rosemary M. Roberts on March 29, 1947, in Wendover, Utah. He served in the Korean War as a water purification specialist, and was stationed at Wendover Air Field in the Army Air Corps. He retired from Tooele Army Depot. He later worked at Oquirrh Hills School and loved the friends he made there. He enjoyed time with his family and helping on every project that they came up with. He also loved time with his beloved dog Sweetie Pie. He is survived by his three sons: Lee C. Jr. (Sheila) of Mountain Green, Utah, Joseph C. (Annette) of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Mark W. (Tina) of Erda, Utah. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Marguerite Catholic Church, 15 S. 7th Street, on Saturday, Sept. 10 at 1:30 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. Interment at Tooele City Cemetery. Special thanks to our sweet friends at Canyon Home Health and Hospice who took such good care of him — most especially to Ellen, the “Lee Charmer,” Guy and Patty G.!
