Our loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away at the age of 80 on Dec. 18, 2014. Juanita was born on July 18, 1934 in Auburn, Calif. She spent her childhood in Roseville, Calif. She graduated from C. K. McClatchy High School in Sacramento, Calif. Juanita went on to study at Sacramento Junior College. She earned a degree in nursing and passed her California Boards and was certified as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She married the love of her life, George Niskala, in September 1957. Together they shared 57 years of love and happiness. Juanita and George had three children: Mary Ann (Kevin) Moore, Robin (Richard) Milne and John (Elizabeth) Niskala, and seven grandchildren who she was very close to. Juanita kept up her nursing practice in Oregon, West Virginia, Ohio, Illinois and Pennsylvania following her husband’s career in forestry. Juanita cherished home life and enjoyed her family and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Valario Tolentino. Juanita possessed a generous heart and gained numerous sincere friendships. She loved her home and took great care in being a housewife. Juanita never complained and met every challenge with a smile. She enjoyed walking with her walkman. She was a volunteer with Senior Circle, enjoyed her club activities with Home Extension and Red Hats Society. Juanita was an active member of the Lutheran Church. A private funeral service was held on Monday, Dec. 22, at the Tate Mortuary, Tooele, Utah.
