Elaine Rae “Lainey Rae” Bush, of Tooele, Utah, born Nov. 14, 1961, in Tooele, passed away Dec. 19, 2023. A woman of ambition and dedication, Elaine was a valiant individual who utilized her smart and courageous nature to lead a life filled with accomplishment, kindness, and faith. She retired as a database administrator who served the federal government with distinction with the Forest Service. Elaine’s astute mind was matched by her nurturing spirit, often seen in her love for her pets past and current, Birdee and Onyx.
Elaine, a woman of many talents, enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. She had a knack for finding joy in the everyday, whether it was working in her yard, finding treasures at yard sales, or crafting beautiful quilts. Her artistic flair and creativity were evident in every project she undertook. Despite her recent health struggles, she maintained a hopeful spirit and continued to cherish what mattered most to her — her family. Elaine’s good manners and unwavering care for her loved ones will be remembered by all who knew her.
Elaine was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and found great joy in her callings. Her faith was a beacon that guided her throughout her life. She is survived by her siblings Alan (Debbie) Bush, and Nina Gwynn. She was preceded in death by her parents Myrna and Ronald Bush.
Please join us in celebrating Elaine’s life at a viewing Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2023, from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1025 West Utah Ave., Tooele, Utah.
