Michael Lynn Hamilton, DMD, passed away Feb. 20, 2023, at his home in Oregon. He was born March 13, 1954, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Joseph Vernon and Joyce Guymon Hamilton.
Mike served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Argentina. He was married to the former Marlene Smith of Tooele, Utah, and they were the parents of seven children. They later divorced. Mike graduated from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. He was a talented dentist and practiced in many locations, including Tooele.
He was preceded in death by his ex-wife Marlene, and his father Joseph Hamilton. He is survived by his wife Ruth; his children Jennifer, Emily Campbell (Jared), David, Jeffery, Natalie Kelly (Robert), Laurie, and Steven; eight grandchildren; his mother Joyce Hamilton; and his siblings William (Julie), Barbara (Steve), Nancy, George (Eileen), Mary, Ruth (Bruce), John (Deanne), Henry, Ann (Wick), and Susan (Royal).
A public viewing will be held Saturday, March 4, 2023, from 10 to 11 a.m., at the Ensign Stake Center, 135 A Street, Salt Lake City, Utah, followed by a private memorial service.
