Suzanne (Sue) Denise Poulson, a resident of Erda, Utah, passed away peacefully Oct. 15, 2021, in Salt Lake City, Utah, surrounded by her loving family. Sue was born in Stockton, California, June 30, 1951, the daughter of John M. Buck and Diane J. (Hodges) Buck. She was living in Lucerne Valley, California, when she met W Mark Poulson. Sue and Mark were married in Las Vegas, Nevada, Feb. 24, 1978.
Sue retired from Tooele Army Depot, most recently working as an administrative assistant in the health clinic. Throughout her life she bred and trained horses both in California and Utah. Her love of horses and riding came naturally from her parents and grandparents. One of her joys in life was time spent caring for and riding her horses. However, her greatest joys in life came from being with, bragging about, and doting on her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and adopted brother Jack. She is survived by her husband Mark; her stepmother Gini Buck of Arizona; her half sister Kathy; her son Chis Converse of Arizona; and her daughter Coryn (Matt) Holmes of Grantsville, Utah; and eight grandchildren Justin, Johnny, Breanne, Jake, Tihler, Sydnee, Dylann, and Emmett.
There will be a graveside service for family and friends at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, at the Stansbury Park Cemetery, 132 E. Brigham Road. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local animal shelter.
