Obit Jim WishartAfter a long illness Jim Wishart died at the age of ninety-one years old. He was born in Danville, Illinois. His time on earth has come to an end, and he will be reunited with his parents Mary and Robert Wishart; and his beloved children Brent, Catherine; and grandson Nicholas. 

Jim always loved books, learning, and he always liked his teachers. After graduating from high school, he attended college for two years. At the age of twenty he did not want to be drafted into the Army, so he enlisted in the Air Force for four years. He had the opportunity of traveling many places in the United States and throughout the world. 

While in New York he met an officer, who taught him about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Later while in London he joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Following the Air Force, he went to Brigham Young University where he earned his bachelor’s and master’s degree in education and psychology. 

While attending Brigham Young University he met his wife Ellen. They were married in the Manti Temple. They were blessed with five children: Rebecca (Stephen), Brent, Cheri (Bill), Catherine, and Glade (Marni). 

While living in Tooele Jim decided to drive the long road to Brigham Young University where he earned his doctorate in administration. Jim started as a school psychologist, and has also been a counselor and schoolteacher before retiring from the Tooele County School District. He loved working with young people, and they loved him also. 

Funeral service will be Thursday, May 27, at 11 a.m., at the Tooele 4th Ward building, 192 W. 200 South, with a viewing from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Tooele City Cemetery.
