Sita Michaell Swann

Obit Sita Michaell SwannSita Michaell Swann, age 39, passed away unexpectedly of unknown causes on May 8, 2015. She was born on Jan. 18, 1976 to Mike and Jan Swann in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was raised in Tooele, Utah and attended Judge Memorial High School. She graduated from Texas A&M Corpus Christi in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in education and a minor in business in 2009 she received a master’s degree in special education. Sita married her husband of five years, Steve Hudson, on Dec. 12, 2009. Sita was her parents’ best friend and a loving and caring daughter, mother, aunt, cousin and an incredible friend. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with family, and watching her son’s sporting events. Sita will always be remembered for her laughter, devotion to family, her honesty and inspiration, especially to her GED students. She was actively involved in the “Education for Freedom” scholarship committee that benefited GED students. Sita was admired by her students because of her honesty and integrity. She was an example to them of what you could achieve through hard work and determination. No matter where she lived or traveled, the mountains of Utah were always home. She will be missed every moment of every day. Sita is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Geraldine Landfried, William Landfried; paternal grandfather James C. Swann; great-grandmother Evelyn Benson and great-grandfather Vern Benson. She is survived by her mother, Jan Swann; father, Mike Swann; husband, Steve Hudson; beloved grandma and grandpa of the mountains Albert and Lavern Aman; grandmother, Mary Maxine Hudson; birth daughter, Emily Kees; son, Meryk Hudson, who she lived and breathed for. He is the light of her life. She is also survived by her mother and father-in-law, Debbie and Steve Hudson; sister-in-law, Jennifer Hudson; grandchild, Peyton; “Sisters,” Jen Lewandowski of Wisconsin, Shonna Richards of Australia; aunts and uncles, Bob and Loretta Landfried of Tooele, Utah, Cliff and Karen Pennington of San Antonio, Texas, Katherine Swann of Salt Lake City, Utah, Connie Searle of Tooele, Utah, Patsy Thorne of San Antonio, Texas; niece, Kearstyn; nephew, Kallyn; many cousins and close friends; pets Phoenix and Ella. A visitation service will be held from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Tate Mortuary in Tooele, Utah. The funeral mass and burial will follow on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 11 a.m. at St. Marguerite Church in Tooele, Utah. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Benefit Account for Sita Swann as an education fund for her son through the Navy Army Community Credit Union.
