It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Vickie Lynn Nelson, “Auntie Vickie” of Tooele, Utah, on July 30, 2020, at the age of 73.
She will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her sister Lisa Gressman; and her nephews Marcus (Brittany) Gressman, and Shawn (Aubrey) Gressman; and by great-nephew Aiden Gressman. She will also be greatly missed by her friends, students, and community at the Tooele City Library, Tooele High Schools, and the Senior Circle. She was preceded in death by her parents Carol and Ralph Nelson.
Vickie was a light in this world who cared deeply about the environment, rescued and spoiled countless kitties, and gave back to the community. She loved being outside tending to her flowers and spending time with and spoiling her family. She was loved by all and over time she inherited the nickname – “Auntie Vickie” — for her warm heart, giving nature, witty jokes, and all things chocolate!
At Vickie’s request, a small intimate gathering will be held for close family and friends. However, due to COVID-19, the family is in the process of deciding the best way to proceed.
