Cheryl passed away quietly and peacefully the evening of July 31, 2020, due to complications of a stroke.
Cheryl was born Jan. 8, 1949, to James and Betty Park. Spending her life in Tooele, Cheryl was exceptionally nice and a friend to all who met her in any way. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and was loved by all. She spent many years as a paraeducator at Tooele High School and always found time to help family and friends whenever possible.
Through the worst and best of times she showed the class that made her the special, wonderful person who made each day better for those around her.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Lauren Dow, her father James, and her oldest son Jim. Cheryl is survived by her husband Alan, three sons and their partners Brian (Melinda) Dow, Cody (Carin) James, Matthew (Jared) James; Eight grandchildren Michael, Colby and Jordan Dow, Vivian, Cooper and Arica James, Marina and Micah Wickel; her brothers Frank (Randy) and John (Monica) Park; and sister Michelle (Pat) Baker; numerous nieces, nephews and their children who all loved her.
She loved music and loved to dance. Her greatest passion was watching her extended family and her family’s children and grandchildren in activities from dance to football to rodeo; you could always find her there cheering them on. She will always be remembered as a beautiful lady who had a smile and a good word for everyone, bringing happiness into everyone’s life.
Service will be held Friday, Aug. 7, 2020, at Tate Mortuary in Tooele. Viewing and visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m., funeral will begin at 11 a.m.
We would like to thank all the clerks, aides, nurses, and doctors that made Cheryl’s last journey as comfortable as possible.
Cheryl will always be the sunshine in our lives!
