Clik here to view.Gaye Walton Lowry, our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, was reunited with her eternal sweetheart Tuesday, March 31, 2020. Gaye was born Aug. 30, 1938, to Samuel B. and Alice Barrus Walton. She married the love of her life Kent Lowry in the Salt Lake Temple on June 14, 1957; they were married for 61 years.
Gaye was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings throughout her life. She had a strong testimony of the gospel and was an amazing example to all those around her. She was generous with her time and talents and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Gaye enjoyed reading, crocheting, and camping. Gaye will be remembered for her love of family. She will be forever loved and missed.
Gaye is survived by her children Mike (Tena) Lowry, Kim (Ronald) Romero, Steve (Kristi) Lowry, Paul (Tamara) Lowry, Karen (Mike) Holman; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; twin sister Gayle (Roger) England; brother-in-law Fred (Karla) Lowry; sisters-in-law Verneal Lowry and Anne Wexels. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, mother and father-in-law Burton and Lunette Lowry; brothers Dallas Vail and Wendell Walton; sisters MarJean Hale, ReNay Bingham, Erma Davis, and Wanda Wolfley.
We thank the staff at Rocky Mountain Willow Springs Care Center for their compassionate care of Mom during her last days.
A private family viewing and graveside service will be held. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
