Obit Mark Walter MarusaMark Walter Marusa, age 64, passed away Feb. 15, 2020, at his daughter’s home due to congestive heart failure. He was born March 1, 1955, in Fort Ord, California, to Alda Lomer Marusa and Walter Joseph Marusa. He married Jolene Bodily on Aug. 15, 1987 in Layton, Utah.

He grew up in Colchester, Vermont, and graduated high school at Essex Junction High School in 1974. He then went on to graduate college at Vermont University in 1980. Then he got his dream job as a chemist at Dugway proving grounds in Utah in 1981. He loved hiking in Lake Point and taking his dogs on walks. He loved to BBQ with his family with a beer in hand. He loved watching sports, movies, and investigative crime shows. He was such a kind loving, huge-hearted man who always took care of our mom no matter how hard his day was. Even when he was extremely sick, he wanted to make sure our mom was taken care of. He loved his daughters so much that he entrusted them to take care of him when he knew he couldn’t; he raised us well. We love and miss you Daddy!

He is survived by his wife Jolene Marusa; daughters Traci Marusa (Brett Davies), and Michelle Sly (Jeremy Sly); and grandkids Neve Derendy, Jaedyn Sly, Keiston Davies, and Danika Davies.

He was preceded in death by his father Walter Joseph Marusa, mother Alda Lomer Marusa, and brother Steven Anthony Marusa.

A celebration of life will be held at a future time and place to be determined. Arrangements in care of Dalton-Hoopes Funeral Home, 435-884-3031. Online condolences and memories may be shared at daltonhoopes.com.
