Obit Arvin Ronald Prows (Ronald)Arvin Ronald Prows (Ronald) was born Dec. 10, 1935 in Altonah, Utah, to Morrell Doyle and Matilda (Cooper) Prows. He was the youngest of three children. He grew up in Utah and Montana in Depression-era times — the perfect background for his adventure-filled youth. Ronald graduated from Spanish Fork High School in 1954. He married his eternal companion, Amanda Swasey, in the Salt Lake Temple on Sept. 28, 1956. They had five children: son, Stephen Ronald (Catherine White) Prows; daughters, Joyce Kay (Russell) Christensen, Karen (Steven) McCurdy, Diana Marie (Brent) Ware and Pattie Jean (Jeffery) Matheson. He graduated from BYU in 1959 and taught science in Mountain View and Sheridan, Wyoming. He received a masters degree from the University of Wyoming. In 1967 they moved to Grantsville, Utah, where he taught high school until he retired in 1994. From 2001-2002, Ronald and Amanda served as missionaries for the LDS Church in Lansing, Michigan. After their mission they served for nine years in the Salt Lake Temple. Ronald is survived by his wife and children, 29 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. He was a husband, father, grandfather, teacher, example and friend. Funeral services will be held in the LDS 4th Ward building, 428 S. Hale, Grantsville, Utah. Viewing, Sunday, March 8, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. and Monday, March 9 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Funeral at 11 a.m. Ronald will be interred in the Grantsville cemetery. Services entrusted with Didericksen Memorial, (435) 277-0050.
