Paul Joseph Evans

Paul Joseph Evans, our beloved son, brother and friend, passed away at home in Bountiful unexpectedly on Jan. 21, 2017. He was born Sept. 7, 1995, in Salt Lake LDS Hospital.

Paul accomplished many things during his life. He enjoyed performing in plays and loved playing lacrosse from elementary through high school. Paul was a devoted member of the LDS church where he held many leadership callings. He became an Eagle Scout while enjoying his scouting experiences. Paul graduated from Woods Cross High School with honors in 2014 where he was a member of the lacrosse team and choir. Paul then served a LDS mission, being a gifted missionary, in Thailand and Laos from 2014-2016. He was in his second semester at the University of Utah, majoring in medical science while also an assistant coach of the Woods Cross lacrosse team and working in sales at Industrial Supply Company.

Paul was a gift and a blessing throughout his life and was loved by many. His legacy was a life filled with kindness, love, bringing light while being a friend and a perfect example to all.

Paul is survived by his parents Randy and Teri; his brothers Bobby (Melissa), Jonny (fiancé, Lindsey) and Danny (McKenna); niece Brooklyn; grandmothers Naoma Smith and Joyce Evans; aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017, at the Orchard LDS Stake Center, 3599 S. Orchard Drive, Bountiful, Utah. A viewing was held Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N. Main, Bountiful, and Saturday morning 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m. at the church prior to services.
