Raymond Dean Howe passed away on Nov. 28, 2016, from complications of diabetes and dry gangrene on the left foot. He was born in Antioch, California, on Dec. 5, 1938, to Isaacs Alonzo and Mary Myrtl Gabbitas Howe. He married Judy Hegsted on Oct. 8, 1983. Raymond was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1958. Since then, he has had many jobs in his lifetime. He worked in a lumber yard and as taxi driver and OTC truck driver from 1977 to 1995. He worked a variety of positions over the years at the Tooele Army Depot. He loved to go fishing and hunting with his family and friends. He enjoyed NFL football and hockey. Raymond was preceded in death by his mother and father and brother Melvin Howe. He is survived by his wife, Judy; three sisters, Bessie Elkins of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Joyce (Creed) Jones of Kearns, Utah, and Mary (Scott) Fowler of Las Vegas, Nevada; daughters LaReese (Bob) Burrows of Magna, Utah, and Linda (Bob) Baker of Gresham, Oregon; sons Mike Howe of West Valley City, Utah, Dean Howe of Magna, Utah, and Rickey Howe of West Valley City, Utah; two stepdaughters Jackie Hegsted of Rupert, Idaho, and Julia (Ryan) Murray of Springville, Utah; and a special family, Jeff and Kara Shuemaker of Tooele, Utah. He is also survived by 16 very special nephews and nieces. At his request, there will be no funeral services. We will have a celebration of life in the summer of 2017.
