Kyle William Labrum, age 14, our Angel Boy, returned to his loving Heavenly Father on Sept. 16, 2016. He was born Feb. 12, 2002, in Roosevelt, Utah, to Reg B. and Sherrie Lynn Labrum. Although Kyle’s physical condition made him appear frail, he possessed strength and perseverance to overcome incredible odds and physical challenges. With his courage, he led us to believe that each day is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories. He enjoyed watching sports, especially football. One of the highlights of his life came when he had the opportunity to meet the BYU football team, his favorite. Kyle loved attending any type of birthday party or celebration. He enjoyed spending time with his siblings, who were determined to accommodate his needs and always included him. He had a special bond with his brother, Wyatt, who was his best friend. He was his Dad’s “little buddy,” as they shared a love for cars and law enforcement. Kyle was his family’s ground source for peace and support. They enjoyed lying next to him and snuggling him with him as he provided the most sincere Christ-like comfort. Prior to his passing, he and his family had just returned from his “Make a Wish,” a dream vacation to Walt Disney World, where they were able to enjoy precious time together and made memories they will keep in their hearts forever. Kyle’s spirit engulfed not only his immediate family, but also his extended family and all those that came into contact with him. His smile and laughter could melt the hearts of those around him and though he never spoke a word, his voice and thoughts could always be heard. Kyle leaves behind many wonderful caregivers who provided love and support that enhanced his quality of life and because of them, he was able to survive some of his toughest medical challenges. All of these special people, too numerous to mention, provided him with love and dignity his entire life. Kyle is dearly loved by his family. His selfless, tender ways will be deeply missed. Well done Kyle, “thou good and faithful servant.”
Kyle is survived by his parents, Reg and Sherrie Labrum; brothers Wyatt, Dylan and Ryker and sisters Sydnee and Kynlee, all of Tooele; his grandparents Bill and Lynette Labrum of Roosevelt and Dan and Peggy Howell of Kemmerer, Wyoming; aunts and uncles Linzi (Matt) Garner, Russ (Michelle) Labrum, Shay (Shane) Uresk, Tammy (Greg) Snow, Blake (Michelle) Howell and Brian (Melissa) Howell; great-grandma Rose Robertson and numerous cousins, great-aunts and great-uncles.
