A loving mother, wife, daughter, aunt, cousin, and friend left us after a long courageous battle with breast cancer. Trina devoted her life to her children and being a wife. During her battle with cancer she always had a positive “sassy” attitude and touched the hearts of those around her. Trina was born to Jodie and Kelly Castagno on March 15, 1981. She graduated from Grantsville High School in 1999. She met the love of her life, Curtis, and married him on Nov. 27, 2004. Together, they have four beautiful children: Emmalie, Peighton, Tynli, and Makklyn. Trina went to the Skin Science Institute and graduated with her master esthetician degree in 2013. Trina’s love for people was contagious. Her laughter always filled the room with warmth and happiness. She loved spending time with her family in the outdoors.
She is survived by her husband, Curtis Cook; her four children; her mother and father; and her siblings, Derrick (July) Castagno, Rachelle Murray (Cody Goff), Nick (Jessica) Castagno and Janessa (Sam) Ashcraft. Trina is also survived by many wonderful in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Joe and Myrtle Shields and Claude and Norma Castagno. All services will be held at the Apple Street Chapel in Grantsville, Utah. There will be a viewing on Aug. 3 from 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be Thursday, Aug. 4 at noon with a viewing prior at 11 a.m. The family would like to thank all of the communities that have supported them through this difficult time. They would also like to thank the Huntsman Cancer Institute, Didericksen Memorial, University of Utah and Rocky Mountain Hospice Care.
