Obit Dolores McKay Warr 1Dolores McKay Warr, age 79, died on May 15, 2016, due to complications from pneumonia and kidney failure. Obit Dolores McKay Warr 2Dolores was born Aug. 8, 1936, in Omaha, Nebraska to Louis Banner and Ruby Charlotte Johnson. She married Alex (Mack) McKay in 1956, who preceded her in death. She married Glade Warr in 2001, who preceded her in death. Dolores was known to friends and family as “Texie.” She was a beautiful mother, wife, grandmother, aunt and friend to all. She enjoyed 13 wonderful years spent with her husband and best friend, Glade, and loved listening to him sing and play guitar. She owned and operated the former 48 Lounge in Tooele for 25 years. Her past hobbies included fishing, camping, boating and horseback riding. In her early years, Dolores was a member of the Tooele Bit ’n’ Spur Riding Club. She loved riding horses and carrying the American flag in the Tooele 4th of July parade. She always had a big heart when it came to animals and she loved her dogs, Lassie and Peaches. Dolores is survived by her loving daughter Dolores (PeeWee) McKay and special friend Randy George. She is also survived by special nieces Ginger Murray and Robyn (Max) Petersen; grandsons Glenn and Jesse Cowdell; great-grandchildren Christian and Madison Cowdell; step-children Penny Allred, Vanna (Jeff) Wainwright, Sheldon (Holly) Pfeifer and Brett (Diane) Pfeifer; and numerous extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, brothers Weldon Creamer and Jimmy Banner, sisters Helen Dymock and Irene Allison, nephews Butch Dymock and Dan Dymock, and two grandchildren at birth. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 20, 2016, at 1 p.m. with a viewing from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Tate Mortuary, 110 S. Main Street, Tooele, Utah.
