Leonard Earl Reynolds passed away on March 20, 2016, at his home in Ekalaka, Montana.
He was born on July 10, 1924, in Stockton, Utah to Leonard Berkley Reynolds and Charlotte Ellen Maze. He was the oldest child of seven and the only son. On Jan. 8, 1945, he married Ida (Toots) Rydalch in the Salt Lake Temple for all time and eternity. To this union, three daughters and one son were brought into this world to complete the family. In 1963, they moved the ranch from Stockton to Corvallis, Montana, where there was green grass and plenty of water. All throughout his life, he was blessed to be a great leader holding many different leadership positions, such as chairman of the board for the Western Montana Generating & Transmission Cooperative, Inc. (1980 to 2008) and the Ravalli County Electric Coop. He has also served as president or on the board of the following: The Bitterroot Stock Growers Association, Hunter Grazing, Big Ditch Board. He was also part-owner of the Hamilton Livestock Auction. He was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he held many different callings, including bishop of the Corvallis Montana ward and was on the High Council for 10 years, to mention a few. Earl is survived by his wife Ida (Toots) of Ekalaka, Montana; children Cristi (Roger) Morton of Tooele, Utah; Layna (Howard) Lyons of Hamilton, Montana; Butch (Paula) Reynolds of Ekalaka, Montana, and Janell (Barry) Holm of Stockton, Utah; 17 grandchildren, 25 1/2 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; sisters Joyce Rydalch, Wilma McMillan, Marva Aufdemorte, Sharlene Aufdemorte and Kaye Hollien. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Delores Caldwell, one grandson Joe Reynolds and many other extended family members. A viewing will be held Thursday, March 24, 2016, from 6-8 p.m. at Tate Mortuary in Tooele. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 25, 2016, at 11 a.m. at the Stockton Ward building with a viewing one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Tooele City Cemetery.
