Cecila Kartchner passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Aug. 8, 2015, at her home in Soldotna, Alaska. Celia was born on July 18, 1923 in Casas Grandes, Chihuahua, Mexico. She moved from Tooele, Utah, to Alaska in June of 2006. Celia was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her hobbies included crocheting, working in the yard and being with family and friends. Celia was loved by many but mostly by her eight kids, 31 grandkids, 96 great-grandkids and 23 1/2 great-great-grandkids. Pallbearers will be Frank Bunch, Glen Kartchner, William Bunch, Josh Bently and James Bently. Services will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 19 at Tooele City Cemetery at noon.
