Goldie M. Honey, a loving and generous soul, passed away peacefully Aug. 22, 2023, in her home in Tooele, Utah, at the age of 98. Born May 6, 1925, in Coffeyville, Kansas, she was a dedicated daughter of Mark Alexander and Beatrice Roberts.
She was a loving wife to her late husband, George Honey, and a devoted mother to her children. Goldie lived a life that epitomized reliability, always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She carried a vibrant personality that radiated positivity and warmth, a trait that made her a delight to be around. In the words of Maya Angelou, “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel,” and Goldie truly made everyone feel special.
Goldie was a reliable file clerk at TAD before her retirement. Her work ethic was admired by all who had the opportunity to work with her. Despite the demands of her job, she always found time for her hobbies. She had a fondness for fishing, spent countless hours volunteering, and cherished the tranquility of camping. These hobbies brought her immense joy, but what mattered most to Goldie was her family. She was a dedicated mother to Helen (Tom) Adams, Tim Nelson, Shirley (Dave), and Karen (John). Goldie was a doting grandmother to her four grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Goldie was preceded in death by her husband George Honey; her parents Mark Alexander and Beatrice Roberts; and her siblings Vergil, Lester, and Ellen. She leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication that will forever be remembered and cherished by her family and all who knew her.
Service was held August 25, 2023.
