Charles R. Armstrong (Chuck), 79, of Erda, Utah, born Oct. 12, 1942, to Ralph and Faye Armstrong of Anthony, Kansas, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Aug. 31, 2022.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Mac and Jack Armstrong. Chuck is survived by his wife J. Dianne Armstrong, and three children: Lynn Armstrong, her four children, Kathryn, April, Cassandra, and Erma; Chris (Janet) and their two children, Cody, and Cheyenne; Brian (EvaSue), their three children Charles J., Matthew, Joshua; 28 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Chuck spent his early years working with his dad in the family business of horse breeding and training, (Armstrong Racing Stables). On March 18, 1962, Chuck married his high school sweetheart Dianne. They recently celebrated 60 years together.
The family spent 14 years in Southern California, where Chuck worked for Southern California Edison. In 1976, Chuck moved his family to Tooele, Utah, where he began his career with Utah Power & Light. He worked as a lineman, and after retiring from UP&L as an area supervisor, he also worked for Sturgeon Electric and Newman Construction in the same capacity.
Chuck had a great love and commitment for his wife and family; his last thoughts were of them. He will be greatly missed as we mourn for our loss. Still, we rejoice that Chuck has come to experience complete peace with God, through Jesus Christ his Lord.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022, at Tooele Springs Calvary Chapel, 47 N. Main Street, Tooele (entrance in the back from 50 West). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mighty Oaks Foundation and Wounded Warrior Project.
