Brother, Son & Uncle
Charles Ross Royle died May 3, 2022, at home surrounded by his loving family. Charlie was born Nov. 18, 1964, in Ogden, Utah, to William Jorgen Royle and Elizabeth Ann Louise Jones Royle. He moved to Tooele as an infant, graduating from Tooele High School. While attending high school he was a proud member of the state champion swim team. He loved being at the pool and continued to work there while attending the University of Utah.
The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Charlie. He loved a good book and taking his nieces and nephews out for ice cream.
His greatest love was his family. He selflessly took care of his mother in the final years of her life and always put the needs of others first. He was the glue that held our family together. His cheerful attitude and phone calls just to say “hi” will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his brothers Willie, Vaughn (Holly), and Todd (Melani); his sisters Sallie Schmitt, Marsha (Bill) Geary, and Melanie (Willis) Cox; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mom and dad, his brother John Phillip Royle, and brother-in-law Roger Schmitt.
Our family would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Canyon Home Health Care and Hospice and especially his nurses Kristi, Priscilla, and Lucelly; his aide Patty; and physical therapist Curt.
A service was held Tuesday, May 10, 2022.
