Virginia Rainwater of Stansbury Park passed away peacefully Dec. 11, 2021, at the age of 92. She was born Dec. 30, 1928, in Burbank, California.
Her great love was flying. She became a private and commercial pilot and even had her instructor’s license. She flew in seven Powder Puff Derbies, which are transcontinental air races for woman pilots. She was a real estate broker for over 40 years and loved helping her clients find their perfect home. She was also an AARP Driver Safety Class teacher for six years in Tooele.
She is survived by her two children Tom (Suzanne) and Loura; three grandchildren Tiffany (Jed Matthews), Joe (Lindsey), Jonathan (Giuli); and four great-grandchildren, Maelyn, Ava, Marlee and Cooper.
She was loved by all who knew her. A generous and sweet lady all her life. She will be greatly missed.
A celebration of life will be held Dec. 30, 2021, on what would have been her 93rd birthday.
