Obit James M WilliamsJames M Williams, son of Rondo James Williams and Mildred Montague, was born in Provo, Utah, May 12, 1943. He died June 4, 2021, after a long battle with kidney disease. He is survived by his wife of 21 years Joan Benroth Williams. He will be remembered by is six children Christina (Chet) Petty, Stephanie (Rob) Harper, Melissa Williams, Jennifer (Frank) Mills, James Michael (Maggie) Williams, and Angela Williams Whitfield; his four stepchildren Brent (Becky) Benroth, Ryan (Melissa) Benroth, Eric (Amy) Benroth, and Kristy (Kyle) Benroth Drummond. He had 21 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren at the time of his death.

Jim, as he was known, served in the Southern States Mission, mainly Georgia, for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He worked as an electrician, millwright, in the mailroom at BYU, and ended his career as a supervisor in the mailroom at Novell.

Jim was well known for his sense of humor and love of people. He had a hobby of woodworking, gifting many items to those in his life. The family would like to thank West Valley Dialysis, Tooele Dialysis, Rocky Mountain Care, and Tooele Aging Services for their help in his final months. 

His services will be held on June 9, at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery. The viewing will start at 9 a.m. and the funeral will be at 10 a.m., 6500 S. Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah. Everyone who knew Jim are welcome to attend.
