Jay H. Butler, age 78, passed away Aug. 5, 2020, at his home in Lake Point surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Aug. 27, 1942, in Salt Lake City to Stella Wooton and Everett C. Butler.
He served our country in the U.S. Navy as a Navy Seal. Jay was a mechanic for Peterbuilt and drove truck for LD Young. He loved hunting fishing, and camping with family. He belonged to the Sundowner MC. He was a loving and devoted dad.
He is survived by his sons Dustin (Kimberli), Rick (Melody); grandchildren Dominick, Houston, Toby, Chelsea, Virginia, Sky, Mystic, Stormy; and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by Karen Bringhard Butler.
A visitation and celebration of life will be held Saturday, Aug. 8, 2020, from 10 to 11 a.m, with U.S. Navy Military Honors at 11 a.m., at the Lake Point LDS Chapel, 1366 Canyon Road.
