Elaine Padilla Hiatt passed away April 1, 2020, not of Covid-19.
Elaine was born Jan. 16, 1954, in Salt Lake City to Frank and Mary Padilla. She was raised in Grantsville and lived there most of her life. She married Darren Kramer and moved to Lodi, California, where they had one son named Darren. After moving back to Grantsville she married Truman (Tom) Hiatt. Elaine worked side-by-side with her sister Marilyn Danielson at Elastemer’s Product for 27 years. The last years of her life she loved hanging out with her grandkids and friend Paula Hunt.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Frank and Mary Padilla; sister Frances DePriest; brother Henry Padilla; and her best friend Mary Millward, “Snoopy” (Elaine was nicknamed Woodstock). She leaves behind her husband Tom Hiatt; son Darren Kramer; stepson Austin Hiatt; five grandchildren, Hannah, Leah, Willow, Daniel, and Austin; Eight siblings, Bernie, Salimo, Carmen, Jimmy, Marilyn, Pam, Tranky, and Bernice. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. We will miss you Woodstock-Wishbone-Lina.
