Lela Anderson, 72, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by her daughters Dec. 9, 2019, at 2:45 a.m., after a decade of battling cancer.
Lela was the fifth child of seven children born to James Leland and Cleo Miller Clark. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She loved to quilt.
Frank Drew Anderson, 74, cherished husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend, within 30 minutes after the death of his sweetheart Lela, he suffered a heart attack and passed away later that evening the same day at 7:11 p.m., also surrounded by his girls. He was the only child of Frank Clyde and Lillian Dorothy Steiner Anderson. He was a member of the Sons of the Utah Pioneers. He loved westerns and football.
They were members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and attended the Stockton Utah Ward. They fiercely loved their children, sons-in-law, and grandchildren, speaking of each of them often and proudly. They loved to go on car rides and spent time looking through old towns and historical sites. They were the founders of the famous, “Breakfast Picnic.”
They are survived by their daughters Amy (Frank) Giugliano, Steffanee (Jared) Wanlass, Andrea (Rob) Taylor; and eight grandchildren. They were preceded in death by their great-grandson Kenai.
A viewing for both Drew and Lela will be held Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Tate Mortuary, 110 S. Main St., Tooele, Utah. Service will be held Sunday, Dec. 15, 2019, at 11 a.m., at Tate Mortuary. They will be laid to rest together at the historic Stockton Cemetery, Stockton, Utah.
The family wishes to thank all the friends, neighbors and family who helped during Mom’s illness. We also want to thank the staff at Willow Springs Care Facility for the compassion and support shown to our family during the last few days.
