Obit Calvin Cleave HutchinsCalvin Cleave Hutchins passed away at the age of 91, Nov. 5, 2019, surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 23, 1928, in Manassa, Colorado, to Elmer and Louva Hutchins, the oldest of three children: sister, Dolores and brother, Richard. 

Calvin married Luana Beth Russell on May 29, 1950, and they were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on April 13, 1956. The couple resided in Rush Valley, Utah, until 1969 when they moved to Tooele and made it their home. Together they had four children: Ronald, LeAnn, Gregory, and LaMont. 

Calvin worked at Dugway Proving Ground for 33 years. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, holding many positions including bishop of the St. John Ward. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Richard; and was heartbroken by the death of his only daughter, LeAnn. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Luana; sons, Ronald (Kathy), Gregory (Vicki), LaMont; sister Dolores (Don); sister-in-law Bobby (Richard); 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild on the way. 

A viewing will be at Tate Mortuary on Thursday, Nov. 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 180 S. Coleman in Tooele, Friday, Nov. 8 at 11 a.m., with a viewing prior from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Interment at Tooele City Cemetery.
