Our loving mother, Mary Jane Keckler (Lindenberg), passed away on July 21, 2019. She was born on Nov. 2, 1929, on her Uncle John Jones’ ranch to Lloyd and Cynthia Ruth Lindenberg. Mother was the youngest of their three children. Immediately after she graduated from high school, she married Louis E. Keckler on May 21, 1947. When she was young, she would go with her family every summer to a fire lookout on Pollock Mountain in Idaho. The first summer she was 7 months old. She has pictures and many stories of those times.
She and Louis were members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and they were later married in the Temple.
She had worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Weed Height, Nevada. After they moved to Tooele, she got a job at Tooele Army Depot where she worked until her retirement in 1991. She then worked at H&R Block for 15 years where she made lasting friends.
She is survived by her four daughters: Linda (Mike) Horton, Terra, Utah; Deborah (Wayne) Simpson, Challis, ID; Laura Bell (Charlie), Port Townsend, WA; Dona Christine Davis, Magna, Utah; many nieces and nephew; and her sister-in-law Maria Warrell in North Carolina.
She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her siblings, a niece and four nephews, and her in-laws whom she loved very much.
Next spring Louis and Mary Jane’s remains will be taken to Indian Valley, Idaho, where they will be buried together among and near loved ones.
