Rhonda Lee Gauthier Thayer, 57, returned to our Heavenly Father on Feb. 8, 2015. Her long battle with HD made her an inspiration to all who knew her. She is admired for her courage and sacrifices through the years of suffering. She is a beautiful angel and will truly be missed. Rhonda was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt and special friend. She is survived by her husband Billy Joe Thayer; daughters Misty (Steve) Sandoval and Korrine Thayer; son Roger Thayer and seven beautiful grandchildren. She also is survived by her sisters Jeannie (Roland) Phillips, Linda (Don) Adams, Beverly (Mike) Keele, Michelle “Renee” Giles and Kimberly Martinez and her brothers Kevin, Robert, Bradley and Gregory Gauthier. Rhonda was born on June 22, 1957 to Roger Gerald Gauthier and Alvina Paulina Gauthier. She was a free spirit and enjoyed life until she became ill with HD. She was a loving stay-at-home mom. She loved teddy bears and had a large collection of them. She enjoyed crocheting, camping and family gatherings. She is preceded in death by a son, Rocky Lee Thayer; her parents; her sisters, Diana, Sandra and Mary and brothers Jeffrey, Roger (Butch) and Mike Gauthier. Friends and family are invited to attend a prayer memorial on Sunday, Feb. 15, at 4 p.m. at 803 Fox Run Drive in Tooele, Utah.
