Charles Leslie Stephenson passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Jan. 5, 2018. He was born on Dec. 19, 1948, the first child of Charles Maiben Stephenson and Mary LaRee Wootton Stephenson.
He grew up in Salt Lake City in the Rose Park area. He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Southwest Indian Mission. He married Patti Jean Stevens on April 10, 1972. They were blessed with three daughters: Kathleen, Mary Rebecca and Teresa Jean.
Charles retired from the Utah Transit Authority. After Patti’s death, he married Lou Ann Cole Mascherino.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, and daughter Kathleen. He is survived by his wife, Lou Ann; daughters, Rebecca and Teresa and their families. He is also survived by brothers, Richard, Joseph, David, Carl and Donald; and his sister, Mary Ruth.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 20, at 1 p.m. at the LDS Church, 1717 N. Berra Blvd, Overlake, Tooele.
