Our beloved father, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, Nicholas Klark Perkins, passed away Sept. 17, 2017, in Oak Harbor, Washington. Nick was born in November 1979, and was 37 years old.
He grew up in Tooele and graduated in 1998 from Tooele High School. He is the son of James and Sharron Perkins, with many siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Nick was a talented soccer player, known for his signature “flip throw.”
He was adventurous, tough, athletic and strong willed. At 19, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he achieved the rank of Chief Petty Officer. He honorably and faithfully served the country he loved and was proud of his military career.
Nick will be remembered for his bright blue eyes, blonde hair, his grin, his fearlessness and his dry, dark humor. He was fiercely proud, generous and would go the extra mile. He loved his Diet Pepsi and Real Salt Lake.
Nick was a loving, devoted father and cared deeply for his son, Declan. Nick also loved his big yellow truck, cooking, taking amazing pictures and was always listening to his diverse music library. He will be profoundly missed.
Nick is survived by his son, Declan; mother and father; sister Melissa (Lee Kerstetter); sister Nicole; brother Joshua (Megan); brother Daniel; and a large, loving extended family. He was preceded in death by his brother, David, and brother Eric.
