In Memory of Rudolph (Rudi) Michael Kraemer, September 6, 1931, to October 19, 2014. We will miss you greatly. May you rest in peace. Rudi is survived by his wife, Hedi Kraemer, 6 children from his former wife, Maria Luisa Kraemer, 14 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Rudi was born in New York City and spent many of his early years in Hanau, Germany. At the age of 18, he joined the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and was later in the U.S. Army Reserves, retiring with an honorable discharge. He graduated from Texas A&M with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and spent many years working for the U.S. Army in Germany and in Utah. Rudi was an avid outdoors man who loved to hike and camp in the Appalachian and Uinta Mountains and continued to take short camping trips well into his early 80s. His family and friends will always remember him as a solid Lutheran, excellent cook who loved to entertain with a new recipe or an old favorite and a loving husband. A service of remembrance is scheduled for Friday, October 24, 2014, at Hope Lutheran Church in West Jordan, Utah at 7 p.m. with Pastor Paul Webber officiating. A small reception will be held before services. All are welcome to attend.
